Taking insight from our global deployments our research and development team continue to innovate and evolve.

OUR UK RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CAMPUS NEVER CLOSES

Our campus operations are designed to maximise collaboration between our onsite teams of industry-leading experts. This enables a seamless workflow between our next generation R&D and innovation department,  and engineering department, technicians and our field operations and expert training teams.

Our integrated processes mean that we are keeping our technology at the cutting edge. From rapid prototyping of new products, to simulating real world environments through data models, and replicating these in our wet lab, we use our learnings to build bespoke solutions for our partners,  and to ensure seamless onsite installs.

Our knowledge sharing program with clients, academics and industry leaders leads to further collaboration and improvement, and our onsite training facilities enables knowledge sharing, skills development and ongoing supportfor clients and their local install teams.

The Aqualinq campus continues to evolve, with technological innovations, production, QC and test facilities that ensure long asset life, warehousing and expansion of our real-world test rigs.

BRING TOGETHER THE SMARTEST ENGINEERS, TECHNICIANS AND SCIENTISTS TO MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE
technical overview

Aqualinq provides an alternative fiber routing solution that is cost efficient, more secure from network outage compared to aerial fiber, and removes the need to install a new underground network system. This is achieved through a pioneering new method that allows us to deploy a fiber network through existing water pipes.

Water infrastructure holds the key to the cost effective and rapid delivery of next generation fiber roll-out. This solution is especially suited to areas of high deployment cost and long runs

10 REASONS WHY WATER PIPES ARE A BETTER SOLUTION THAN TRADITIONAL METHODS FOR FIBER DEPLOYMENT
  1. No requirement for trenching, directional-drilling or thrust-boring
  2. No requirement to close roads or cause traffic and civic disruption
  3. Minimised heavy vehicle traffic and associated CO2 emissions
  4. Way less wayleaves and permits required
  5. Reduced number of restrictions on contiguous roll-outs for long runs
  6. Minimised liability for strikes to other in-ground
  7. Virtually no surface scarring to roads/side-walks
  8. Minimised re-instatement materials usage
  9. Reduced time to market, as we can start deployment within a few weeks
  10. Reduced overall CAPEX costs

How safe is fiber in water pipes?

The Aqualinq solution has full accreditation for use in drinking water pipes.

Furthermore, our patented fiber can last up to 20 years within a water pipe.

Theoretically it can last for longer but we expect our partners to want a fiber upgrade inside of 20 years.

Certifications

American National Standards Institute (USA)
Our technologies have achieved both NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 allowing our solutions to be deployed in any drinking water system.

Secretary of State Approval (GB)
Approved for use in public water networks by the Secretary of State under DWIReg. 31/33 -  Approval covers all product and installation procedures for our solutions to be deployed in any drinking water system.

WRAS(GB)
Aqualinq has the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme certification mark thatdemonstrates that an item or package complies with the high standards set outby UK water regulations.
